The first Gripen fighter for the Royal Thai Air Force made it's maiden flight yesterday. The flight lasted 80 minutes and took of at 14:50 local time from Saab's Linköping facility.
Thailand has ordered six Gripen C/D aircraft, one Saab 340 aircraft equipped with Erieye radar (AEW) and also a Saab 340 for transport and training plus an integrated command and control system with data links.
The fighters will be delivered in 2011.

Garnisonens Dag 2009 at Malmen, Linköping
Yesterday I was at the "Garnisonens Dag" (open house) on Malmen, Linköping. I was a very nice day with great weather and nice shows of helicopters and aircraft.
I took some pictures with my iPhone 3GS (not the optimal for clody days!) and my Nikon S550 camera (unfortunally the battery died after a few pictures).
